Rev. Daniel Asibuoh-Sarpong, received a call to serve God at a youthful age. As a young man, he helped establish three churches in Ghana, West Africa and served as a vice president of the Presbyterian/Methodist church students union. Daniel answered his call to full-time ministry in 2014. Prior to his appointment at St. Paul and First Jamaica, Queens United Methodist Church, (UMC), he served at Derby UMC, CT as a minister in charge. He has also served as ministerial assistant for youth and young adult ministries at First UMC, Mount Vernon, NY and held various positions and offices in the Ghana UMC, the Bronx, NY. While serving at the Ghana United Methodist church as a lay leader, he helped established another church at Yonkers, NY. Spurred on by his interest in ministry, he enrolled at New York Theological Seminary and United Theological Seminary and obtained a master's degree in divinity. By dint of hard work, dedication, and discipline, he developed a special interest in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) while completing his field ministry requirements. He currently holds Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) and Certificate of Ecclesiastical Endorsement from the United Methodist Endorsing Agency in the Division of Ordained Ministry of the Board of Higher Education and Ministry of the United Methodist Church.
